Kris Davis-Garcia

Owner/Director/Choreographer

​Kris feels great joy that after completing their dance education at The Dance Company, many students have attained dance scholarships and were selected for the dance teams or arts programs to colleges such as UC Berkley, USC, UCLA, Emery, UC Davis, Brown and many more.  Additionally, many have gone on to be dance educators and career performers themselves. Her performing credits include Bum Equipment, Ski Doo, L.A. Gear, Mark Wilson's Magic, Blockbuster, Legends in Concert, and Jane's Addiction.  Kris has choreographed for Sports Illustrated Kids, KCal 9, and the Los Angeles Lakers.  She has won top choreographer awards at national and regional competitions and was also the creator and owner of the LA New Groove Dance Competition and Convention.  She has taught, trained and performed across the United States as well as Korea and Japan.  In addition to training at local schools in Minnesota where she is from, she had extensive professional training at the Edge Performing Arts Center, Joe Tremaines, and DuPrees Dance Center in Los Angeles, CA.  She has owned The Dance Company in Ventura County California since 1997 which now has two locations.  Moorpark celebrating its 24rd year and Camarillo celebrating its 10th!

Chantal Parrett

Competition Coordinator

Originally from Indiana, Chantal began dancing at age 4.  She trained in all styles of dance from top industry professionals including Suzi Taylor, Joe Lanteri, Mark Goodman, and Dianne Walker.  She pursued a BFA in Dance from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA.  While at UArts, Chantal had the opportunity to work with Mia Michaels, Roni Koresh (Koresh Dance Company), Kim Bears-Bailey (Philadanco) and LeVaughn Robinson to name a few. Since moving to Los Angeles in 2005, she has been seen performing at venues such as Magic Castle (with Neil Patrick Harris, Choreographed by David Burtka) and many venues throughout Los Angeles.  Her students, past and present, can been seen dancing on TV shows such as Shake It Up and Vampire Diaries, and on stages for top cruise lines and National productions across the country. She is excited to be at the Dance Company and share her joy and passion for dance with her students!

Winkee Krick

Contemporary Jazz Lyrical Hip Hop

​Winkee Krick is originally from Grand Rapids, MI. She was born and raised in a family owned dance studio.  Winkee began taking classes on her first birthday and never looked back. Winkee’s dream since the age of twelve has always been to move to California to pursue her career as a Dancer, Choreographer, and Teacher, and to share her passion for dance with others. Winkee has trained intensively in tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, hip hop, and contemporary. Growing up in the convention scene she has won several scholarships from many conventions including CoDance and Shock the Intensive, and won the title of “National Tap Champion” at the Star Systems Nationals in Nashville. Winkee has been seen around the country assisting Darryl Retter, Keith Clifton, and Tom Alexander at regional and national DMI conventions. Winkee made her big move to Los Angeles in the summer of 2010.  She has traveled the country setting competition pieces on some of the nation’s most prestigious studios! The past seven years have been such a growing experience for her. She has choreographed two official music videos. “ Acid Rain” by Lorn, which now has over 16 MILLION views on YouTube and “Love For That” by Mura Masa feat. Shura. Acid Rain also won the UK MTV Music Video Award for “Best Dance Video of 2015.” She has performed in many shows including three shows at the House Of Blues with singer Sean Vanderwilt. She performed in the 25th Anniversary Show “Beauty Shop” as the featured plus size dancer. She can’t wait to see what the future has in store for her and is honored to be part of the Dance Company in the upcoming season.

Rachel Spada Doty

Ballet Coordinator

​Rachel has been dancing since she was 6. Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, she focused her training at two dance studios and did various competitions in the Western New York area as well as New York City. She went to the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and recieved a BFA in Jazz Dance Performance and also received an award for outstanding choreographic achievement over four years. She's worked with the Rock School, River North Chicago, Alvin Ailey, and the Hip Hop group FloMotion before she left Philadelphia. In July of 2005, she moved to Los Angeles. She dances in Jessica Starr's company, "Twisted Elegance" where they have performed at many venues. She's worked with Mia Michaels, Mary Kudelka, Wade Robson, and Tovaris Wilson, just to name a few. She hopes to one day have a dance company of her own.  Rachel is certified in the Paula Morgan Ballet technique.

Brandi Jones

Contemporary Lyrical Hip Hop Ballet Tap

Brandy has a strong passion for dance and teaching. Her students bring her happiness because they have grown not only as amazing dancers but as beautiful individuals. She finds her joy in molding the young minds into the new generation of dance.

 

Brandy started her dance training at the age of 10 and has been dancing ever since. She is well trained in ballet, lyrical, contemporary and hip hop.  Brandy attended Santa Susana Performing arts High School, where she was the president of the dance team and the captain of the hip-hop team. Brandy went to continue her dance career at Moorpark College. While she was there, she had took many dance classes and got the opportunity to perform and choreograph for multiple dance concerts. She has been in a few music videos and some commercials. She has won many awards in dance whether it has been competing at competitions or at school. Her choreography has won many regional and national titles, as well as outstanding awards. 

 

Brandy is currently the head coach of the Westlake High School Dance Team and her team has competed at multiple of USA and WCE regional and national competitions. They have won multiple awards/ titles and recently received the title of grand champions.

 

Brandy is so humbled that she gets to do what she loves to do every single day and is so happy that she gets to join the TDC family and share her passion and knowledge with all their wonderful students.

Josie Jemo

Tiny Dancers

Contemporary Jazz Lyrical Hip Hop Ballet Tap

Josie has been dancing and performing since an early age.  She was principle dancer in the videos "My Favorite Pillow" and "Rolling River Rampage." working with choreographers including Gage Wayne and Lori Lobsiger.  Josie also had dance parts in the television production of Disney's ABC Televised Holiday Spectacular.  She also danced in the stage productions of the "International Women's Day Festival" for the Mashup Dance Company and the Moscow Ballet's "The Great Russian Nutcracker" produced at Southport Performing Arts Conservatory.  Josie has also done promotional and print work for CONQUERing, Scissor Happy Studio, and Goalie's Goodies.  Her training includes: Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, Improvisation, and Musical Theater.  We are excited to have her as part of the TDC family!

Zoe Davis-Garcia
Contemporary Jazz Hip Hop Lyrical Ballet Tap

Zoe has been dancing at TDC since the age of 3.  She is trained in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical and Tap.  Zoe joined the Dance Company competition team when she was 5 and has won many Overall Team and Solo Regional awards.  She has been a member of the TDC Leadership Program and has been a teaching assistant at TDC assisting with tiny dancers as well as intermediate  classes.

Zoe was a member of the Rancho Campana High School Dance Team which also won awards in Regional and National Events. We are excited to have her continue as part of our TDC family!

Ky Jones
Contemporary Hip Hop Jazz Lyrical Ballet Tap

Ky Jones grew up in Springboro, Ohio. Since the age of 2, Ky has been passionate about dance, singing, and acting, resulting in intense training through a variety of styles. Growing up she heavily trained under notable choreographers Zandra and Aly Thomas, at Z Company Arts. Ky began her professional career at the age of 13, performing at Radio City Music Hall for America’s Got Talent. Ky graduated with a Bachelor’s degree at age 17, all while still pursuing her success in dance. With her continued hard work, Ky had the honor to travel and assist on conventions mentored by industry professionals such as Gil Duldulao, Ian Eastwood, Dean Lee, Katy Tate, Tucker Barley, Mollee Gray and Jeka Jane. Since moving to LA, some of her credits include Justin Bieber, America’s Got Talent, Chesca, Jordan Fisher, Tabria Majors, Cokesbury Productions, and many more! We are excited to have her as part of our TDC family!
